The Jaipur Literature Festival has been hosted by Hotel Diggi Palace since its inception in 2006. It is an initiative of the Jaipur Virasat foundation founded in 2002 by Faith Singh and John Singh of “Anokhi" fame.

"The Jaipur Literature Festival kicked off in 2006 with only 18 authors. All were Indian residents & two failed to show up but we had a wonderful time in the beautiful Durbar Hall and the sunny lawns of Diggi Palace. Since that modest start something rather remarkable has happened. The Jaipur Literature Festival has grown like some creature from the Puranic myths, so that in 2010, on only the fifth festival no less than 220 authors from 17 countries spoke to crowds approaching 30,000 people!!”
William Dalrymple and Namita Gokhale Co-directors Jaipur Literature Festival

The festival is Asia's largest literature festival & the former editor of the New Yorker, Tina Brown dubbed it “the greatest literary show on earth”. For further information – www.jaipurliteraturefestival.org

Truely speaking, we have got a lot than we expected during our stay at Diggi Palace in Jaipur. The sourroundings of the hotel is very greenery and one can see peacocks are grazing. Rooms are large and spacious. For any future visit in Jaipur, I shall try to stay at Diggi Palace for its homely atmosphere.

A beautiful resort tucked away in the centre of the city, Diggi Palace has large, comfortable, clean and well-appointed rooms. It's a great place to unwind and just sit around the lovely garden sipping tea. I loved it all!
